What is Den of Angels? How do I register?

     Den of Angels is the largest and most well-known English-speaking forum in the BJD community. There are discussion threads for dolls in general, and also threads for specific doll companies and sizes. There is a "Workshop" section where members can share their customizing and crafting endeavors, and--the reason many people join--a Marketplace section where members can buy, sell, and trade dolls, accessories, and doll services. Members will have to be a part of the forum for at least 25 days and made 40 posts will have limited access to the Marketplace, and then after 180 days and 100 posts, full marketplace access is granted.

     Membership to Den of Angels is (at time of writing) invite-only. Many people may get invites from friends online, and if you don't know anyone who can give you an invite, you may apply for one via email. Occasionally (but very rarely) Den of Angels will open registration for a period of time. Approval may take some time, as the moderators have to individually approve each application to make sure that banned members and scammers don't make it back into the forum.

     Each member is allowed only one account on Den of Angels, and sharing accounts with another person is not allowed. Banned members are not allowed to return to Den of Angels, and allowing them to get around restrictions (such as using your account for transactions or letting them log on at your home) are bannable offenses.

    Den of Angels is not a recast friendly space. Their statement on the matter is:

"Den of Angels has taken a stand against the principle and practice of recasting dolls, therefore we reserve the right to ban those who engage in recasting, those who aid and abet recasting by procuring legitimate dolls for the purposes of recasting, and those who provide ordering services for recasters. Using Den of Angels to promote any of these actions is a bannable offense. Reference to ownership of recast dolls either in photos or in writing on Den of Angels is a bannable offense."

Additionally, while Den of Angels is a BJD forum, there are certain dolls that are banned for various reasons and others are off-topic, often coming close to "on topic" guidelines, but excluded for aesthetic or similar reasons and to manage the size of the forum. It is important to note that banned dolls are not allowed to be posted on the forum whatsoever, but off-topic dolls are allowed so long as an on-topic doll is in the same photo (posts and threads about off-topic dolls still are not allowed).
